This half term, we have enjoyed reading the text 'What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson. We have been looking at examples of maps, thinking about why they are useful and have created our own fantastic maps of a farm. We have practised using the Bee-Bots (programmable toys) to move around the classroom environment and also tried to follow a map outdoors in the garden. In art, we have explored using pastels to create our favourite farm animals and they look amazing!  

We have also been reading the book ‘Mad About Minibeasts’. We have looked at different minibeast and learnt facts about them. We told our talk partner about a new fact that we had learnt and they had to guess which minibeast the fact was about.
